What is Branding/Brand Identity?

A brand is a:

  • Name
  • Symbol
  • Design
  • Term
  • Sign

Branding identifies your goods and services and differentiates you from your competitors'.

Brand Identity, in turn, is the consistent, visible elements of your brand (such as colours, design, logo, name, symbol, and slogan) that together, identify and distinguish your brand in the consumer’s mind.

Why is branding important?

We realize that small businesses want to sell their products and services (who doesn't?), but spending a large ad budget is a short-term solution. Sure, it works for a while, but once the novelty has worn off, you still need to sell more. Investing in branding is a long-term strategy that is less expensive in the long run. Combining advertising and branding into your marketing scheme will provide your business with short and long term results.
